If there’s ever been an engagement shoot I’ve been the most excited (and even nervous) about, it’s this one.  You see, Danny is my little brother, so I was honored when he asked me to take their engagement photos!  LeeAnn and Danny flew out to Seattle for an amazing day in Gasworks Park and Post Alley, with a quick stop in the market, too!  Even when it started to rain, they weren’t daunted – their goofy and exciting personalities showing through.  I absolutely love these two together, and I cannot wait for their wedding this May!  And now, here are their photos!

Two weeks ago, I spent an afternoon with Chelsea and Mike taking photos to celebrate their 2 year dating anniversary.  They are  truly an amazing couple, and very cute together!  During our photoshoot we explored all over the Seattle Center and the Olympic Sculpture Park, concluding with a gorgeous sunset over the Olympic mountains.  It’s been a while since I featured a beautiful couple on the blog, so I’m giving you a double-dose of highlight photos!  Check ‘em out below!

As summer kinda-sorta begins to peek its head out in Seattle, it’s time to head out on a boat and cruise around Elliot Bay…  And that’s exactly what Seattle Anti-Freeze did last Friday night for the White Party!  Yes, everyone was wearing only white…  Their largest boat party ever, 400 Anti-Freezers packed the Spirit of Seattle Argosy boat and cruised around for the best floating party in the city.  Headlined by poppy-punk The Cuddle Party and DJ Daps1 DJ Dlemma, everyone was rockin it right until the boat (unfortunately) returned to shore.  Photos are now up in the Event Gallery, so go check ‘em out!  And now, on to the highlights:

Update: Turns out DJ Dlemma filled in for DJ Daps1, who was out for the birth of his first child!  Congrats to DJ Daps1 and family!

What a blast this past Friday was at… Seattle Anti-Freeze’s Colour Blast!  A couple hundred people in the Columbia Tower Club wearing loud, bright colors – two gentlemen even showed up in Dumb & Dumber-esque blue and orange tuxes, complete with matching top hats.  The event gallery is now available, so head there to see all the photos from the event.  Check below for the highlights!

The Crew @ Seattle Repertory Theatre just had their last event of the season, for August Wilson’s play, Fences.  I had a chance to see the play, and it is really really really good!  I definitely suggest going – it’s the best show I’ve ever seen at the Rep!  As usual, The Crew threw a great party before and after the first preview performance of the show.  Many of the actors even joined us for the after-party!  So now the link you’ve all been waiting for… the event gallery is now live!  Check out all the photos from the evening – but don’t forget to take a second to look at the teasers below!

You all may not know that I’m engaged to be married to a gorgeous woman named Alexa in just two short months.  As part of the wedding prep, she’s been doing the Healthy Bride bootcamps in Bellevue, and this past week they asked me to come take some awesome promo shots of the workouts in action.  These are some strong (and beautiful) ladies… the workout looked really killer and it was only Week 2 of this session!  Alexa’s been raving about the workouts, so if you’re a bride looking to get fit before the wedding, I highly recommend Healthy Bride: www.healthy-bride.com

Two of the photos from the shoot have already been featured on the Healthy Bride blog!  Check them out here:

I also wanted to share one of my favorite images from the whole shoot – it’s my favorite because I know how hard they were working at this point, doing dips on a little cement barrier in the park.  You can’t see it, but they just sprinted over from a cardio circuit and plyometrics.

Healthy Bride Shoot-4

(In case you’re wondering, Alexa – never one to be shy – is the one in the bright blue shirt.)

For those of you wanting more, I’ve also posted a best-of album of my favorite photos from the shoot up here.

ABC: Always Be Closing!  As a photographer, perhaps that should be “Always Be Capturing [beautiful images]”?  Either way, the line is apropos since I just put the finishing touches on the photos from The Crew @ Seattle Repertory Theatre’s event for Glengarry Glen Ross.  The David Mamet play was really good, and of course The Crew members were looking great, too!  The event gallery is now live – head there to check out all the photos.  And last but not least, this wouldn’t be a proper blog post if I didn’t give you a few teaser photos, so here goes…

From their engagement photos back in October, Kristin and Mike picked their favorite picture and asked me to design their Save The Date cards that they’ll be sending out to their friends and family.  Knowing that their wedding colors are blue and sliver, and that Kristin adores sparkles/diamonds/jewels (they’re even rumored to be featured in the wedding center pieces), we came up with a sparkly, fantastical design.  Although I’m biased, I think they came out really well and totally reflect Kristin and Mike’s style.

Kristin & Mike Save The Date

These Save The Date cards were printed on a sparkly pearl finish cardstock to add a final touch of sparkle.

Congrats again to Kristin and Mike!

I spent a delightful evening this past Saturday photographing Seattle Antifreeze’s Black Party at the Columbia Tower Club.  The party was huge!  Over 450 people dressed in all black, a DJ, pianist a la Chopstix, and of course plenty of food and drinks.  It was not to be missed.  And of course, we took a whole lot of photos!  The event gallery is now live, so head on over to see just how the night went down.  I’ve included a few of my favorites below, just to whet your appetite!
